All Things Equal’s big serve at the Australian Open
About 18 months ago, we had the absolute privilege of doing a feature on All Things Equal, a social enterprise dedicated to creating employment opportunities for people with disabilities. At the time, their café in Melbourne’s Bayside had already gained a reputation for its welcoming environment, delicious menu, and unwavering commitment to inclusion and equality.
All Things Equal operates with a simple but powerful mission: to create inclusive employment opportunities for people with disability. Through their award-wage jobs, they’re empowering individuals to gain confidence, build skills, and feel valued in the workplace, while also fostering a deeper sense of community among their team and customers alike.
Since we first chatted with the team, this awesome organisation has continued to make an incredible impact—and they’re about to reach an even wider audience. For the duration of the tournament, All Things Equal will be at the Australian Open, serving up their signature mix of delicious food and inclusive values at the Ballpark in Birrarung Marr. Visitors can look forward to a range of snacks and sweet treats, including we hear, a special creation from Ginger Snap Patisserie.
This opportunity highlights the incredible progress All Things Equal has made in demonstrating the talents and capabilities of people with disability in the workplace. By visiting their stall at the Australian Open, you won’t just enjoy high-quality food—you’ll also support their mission to create award-wage jobs and foster a more inclusive society.
As they put it on their Instagram, (give them a follow at @allthingsequal.org.au) “Good food, better impact.” It’s a reminder that a small choice—like where you choose to eat—can contribute to meaningful change.
If you’re attending the Australian Open over the coming few days, don’t miss the chance to visit All Things Equal at the Ballpark. Whether you’re there for the tennis or just the snacks, you’ll be part of something truly special.
We’ve loved watching All Things Equal grow from their Balaclava café to this exciting new chapter and we can’t wait to see what they achieve next!
